My Journey
Still Faith β Blessed
There came a point where I realized I didn't like the direction my life was heading, and I knew something had to change.
Instead of continuing to chase distractions, I made the decision to step away from social media by deleting all of my accounts and spend the next several years rebuilding my life lowkey from the ground up.
I wanted to become the kind of woman my daughter could look up to. I knew that if I wanted to teach her faith, discipline, integrity, and resilience, I first had to live those values myself.
Those years became my season of rebuilding, growth, and quiet preparation for everything God had planned next. I committed myself to becoming the best version of who God created me to be, pursuing excellence in every area of my life. I strengthened my relationship with Christ, focused on becoming healthier physically and mentally, rebuilt my finances, stepped into entrepreneurship, and devoted myself to learning everything I could I devoted myself to learning everything I could about building businesses, creating music and content, and understanding the ins and outs of entrepreneurship.
Behind every milestone was an ordinary day. I was still raising my daughter, taking care of our home, showing up for the responsibilities that come with being a parent, and then returning to my desk to keep building. Many nights ended at two, three, or even four in the morning, only to wake up and do it all over again the next day.
There wasn't a large team behind the scenes. Every website, every design, every brand, every business idea, every late-night lesson, and every song has been built one piece at a time through countless hours of learning, creating, failing, improving, and trusting God throughout the process.
Away from the noise of social media, I kept writing songs and documenting what I was living through. Music became the place where I processed my faith, pain, growth, and conversations with God. What looked like silence from the outside became one of the busiest, most transformative, and most rewarding seasons of my life.
It was during this time that I made a promise to God:
"God, if You help me change my life, I'll make it known."
The music you're hearing today wasn't written overnight. It was written over more than five years through songwriting, prayer, victories, setbacks, moments of self-reflection, and the countless lessons God faithfully taught me along the way.
Everything I'm building today is my way of keeping that promise.
Lost, But Still Learning
Life wasn't unfolding the way I had imagined.
Like many young families, one income simply wasn't enough, especially while living in Hawaii, where the cost of living was incredibly high. I had to contribute however I could while learning what it meant to balance motherhood, responsibility, and the desire to build something meaningful. I was constantly searching for ways to make an income while continuing to learn new skills, hoping that one day all of the hard work would help create a better future for my daughter.
At the same time, I was searching for direction in places that ultimately left me feeling empty. I was surrounded by the wrong influences, making poor decisions, and trying to fill a void that only God could truly heal.
Even through the uncertainty, I never stopped learning.
This was the season when I began studying every part of music, from songwriting and strengthening my vocals to recording, vocal production, mixing, and music production. Every free moment became an opportunity to better understand both the creative and technical sides of music. I invested countless hours watching tutorials, practicing, experimenting, and quietly developing skills that no one else could see.
Looking back now, I realize God was preparing me long before I understood what He was preparing me for.
A NEW CHAPTER
At 19 years old, I became a mother.
It was the greatest blessing of my life, but it also became one of the biggest turning points in my journey. For the first time, my decisions weren't just about me anymore. Every choice I made would shape the future of someone who was looking up to me.
At the same time, I found myself walking through one of the hardest seasons of my life. My relationship with my husband at the time was unstable, and we were trying to navigate parenthood while still learning how to navigate life ourselves.
The only parent I had a relationship with was my mother. After moving to the United States as a child, I spent years separated from her, and by the time we were finally together again, we never had the opportunity to rebuild the relationship I had always hoped for. Then in 2018 she unexpectedly passed away from a failed heart surgery.
Becoming a mother at 19 was the greatest blessing God had ever given me, but it was also overwhelming. Between postpartum emotions, relationship struggles, grieving the loss of my mother, and suddenly carrying the responsibility of raising a child, there were moments when I felt like the life I had imagined for myself was slipping away. I felt lost, afraid, and unsure of where my future was headed.
Looking back now, I can see that motherhood, grief, and the struggles in my relationships were bringing wounds I had carried since childhood to the surface. At the time, I didnβt fully understand how deeply those experiences had shaped the way I saw myself, my relationships, and the world around me. I only knew that I was searching for healing, purpose, and a sense of peace that would finally last.
Around that same time, I found myself writing in my journal more than ever. Since 2016, journaling had become a place where I could be completely honest, pouring out my thoughts, emotions, prayers, and questions. Without realizing it, those pages were becoming the foundation for the music I would one day write.
